Job summary

KBP Brands, in partnership with Sonic Drive-In, is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Chesapeake, VA to lead daily operations, uphold Sonic standards, and drive guest experiences. You will train and manage the team, schedule staff, and help protect the brand while pursuing growth opportunities with the Managing Partner.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of AGM experience in food service or retail with P&L responsibility, are 18+, and able to close shifts two nights weekly.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as an Assistant General Manager in food service or retail with profit and loss responsibility.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Availability to close the restaurant at least two nights a week.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand and walk for entire shifts, and operate restaurant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations while upholding Sonic standards and policies.
• Support the Managing Partner by leading the team in training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Manage inventory, ensure food safety compliance, and resolve customer issues promptly.
• Oversee financial responsibilities, including cash handling and expense control, and partner with the Managing Partner to drive growth.
