Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) to lead and develop teams across Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience. You will work closely with the Club Manager to drive operations, training, and standards such as GOLD and GAA, while ensuring exceptional member service and inventory control.

This role requires ServSafe certification, forklift ability, flexible shifts, and a commitment to safety and results.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people-management skills.
• Knowledge of shrink controls, merchandising, customer service and safety.
• Completion of company training program preferred; ServSafe certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership across Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop team members; conduct performance reviews.
• Oversee labor planning, scheduling, and budget targets to drive results.
• Drive sales, inventory control, and reduce shrink through processes and coaching.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and club-wide service levels (GOLD, GAA).
• Lead cross-functional collaboration and maintain regular attendance with a strong work ethic.
