Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) to lead department teams and drive club performance. This role partners with the Club Manager and oversees onboarding, training, and certification to ensure food safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations leadership.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to manage large teams.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification; forklift operator experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership across assigned departments (Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience).
• Recruit, Hire, and Onboard team members for assigned departments; onboarding and certification.
• Oversee labor planning and scheduling; align with trends and budget targets.
• Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management to ensure in-stock conditions.
• Champion Member Experience standards (GAA/GOLD) and ensure high member satisfaction.
