Job summary

WILD BILLS TOBACCO STAFFING LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in operations, sales and staff development. This role develops strategies to boost profitability while keeping a welcoming environment for customers and employees.

Ideal candidate will lead by example on customer service, product knowledge, and teamwork, with readiness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years or older.
• Completion of high school degree.
• Flexible to work weekends and holidays.
• Flexible to work 12 hour shifts at times.
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and retaining store employees.
• Assist in managing and developing store employees for optimal performance.
• Assist in developing teams selling skills.
• Assist in educating the team about the products sold in store.
• Ensure smooth store operations including inventory and scheduling.
• Provide excellent customer service, including handling inquiries and resolving issues.
• Obtain product knowledge about all products and current launches/promotions.
• Create relationships with customers to suggest products.
• Meet or exceed store sales and operational goals.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to meet targets.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment.
• Provide feedback to Store Manager on employees, operations, and sales.
• Manage daily operations including inventory, cash handling, staffing, and cleanliness.
• Most business hours on sales floor coaching and running the business.
• Open and close the store.
• Full-time hours; evenings, weekends, and holidays.
