Cinemark in Merriam, Kansas is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee daily theatre operations, ensure policy adherence, and deliver outstanding guest service across all departments. You will be cross-trained, coached by leadership, and can progress through the Management Accreditation Program toward Senior Assistant Manager and Theatre Manager.

The position requires flexibility, strong leadership, and a commitment to safety and team development.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of Cinemark Management Accreditation Program courses.
• Completes basic food handling training and local certifications where required.
• Safe Alcohol Service training for roles with alcohol.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent Guest service and cash handling abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to train and lead others and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Follows direction of the General Manager.
• Supports General Manager’s decisions and staff communication.
• Works across all departments and theatre job functions.
• Trains and coaches Team Members in their functions.
• Prepares administrative and special reports for the GM.
• Ensures theatre safety, cleanliness and proper dress code.
• Interacts with Guests to provide superior service.
