Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials in Fresno, CA seeks an Asphalt Weighmaster to accurately weigh, ticket and document vehicles entering and exiting the plant. You will ensure DOT compliance, manage scale software, and maintain safety and accuracy in a fast-paced industrial setting.

You will coordinate with plant operators, drivers, and dispatch, process orders and payments, and uphold record-keeping and safety training requirements for site visitors and drivers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience.
• 1+ years of relevant asphalt/construction experience preferred.
• Familiarity with scale operations and regulatory rules (DOT/CDOT).
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures.
• Strong data entry and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with drivers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Record customer data, product codes, and haulage in ticketing system.
• Ensure outbound loads comply with weight limits and DOT rules.
• Coordinate with plant operators for correct tonnage and material mix.
• Direct truck traffic to loading areas and maintain safe yard flow.
• Serve as the communication hub among scale house, foremen, loaders, and dispatch.
• Handle customer inquiries, process cash/credit sales accurately.
