Job summary

Martin Marietta seeks an Asphalt Weighmaster to weigh, ticket and document vehicles entering and exiting our asphalt plant. You will serve drivers and customers, ensure outbound loads comply with DOT rules and company standards, and uphold safety in a fast-paced industrial setting.

You will work with plant operators and dispatch teams, manage data entry, and maintain meticulous records of tonnage and sales while coordinating loading and billing processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or relevant experience.
• 1+ years in asphalt/construction environment preferred.
• Familiarity with scale operations is a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and DOT rules.
• Accurate data entry and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication; organized and time-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Enter customer data, product codes and haulage info to generate official documents.
• Ensure outbound trucks meet state weight limits to avoid overloads.
• Coordinate with plant operators for correct mix and tonnage per order.
• Direct truck traffic to loading areas for safe, efficient flow.
• Act as the central hub between scale house, foremen, loaders and dispatch via radio/phone.
• Report loading discrepancies and resolve ticket issues promptly.
• Provide site safety orientation and maintain daily/weekly/monthly records.
• Process cash and credit sales with accuracy and maintain paperwork for accounting.
