Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking an Asphalt Weighmaster in Fort Collins to accurately weigh, ticket, and document all trucks entering and leaving our asphalt plant. This role serves as the main contact for drivers and customers and ensures DOT-compliant, safe loading and billing processes.

You will operate truck scales and software, enter data, verify loads, and coordinate with plant operators and dispatch to maintain flow, accuracy, and safety in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years in asphalt/construction environment preferred.
• Familiarity with scale operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated truck scales and software to capture tare and gross weights.
• Enter customer data, product codes, and haulage information for proofs of purchase.
• Ensure outbound trucks meet state weight limits (CDOT/DOT).
• Coordinate with plant operators to load correct tonnage per order.
• Direct truck traffic to loading areas for smooth yard flow.
• Serve as central hub between scale house, foremen, loaders, and dispatch.
• Report loading discrepancies to determine root causes.
• Maintain site safety training and daily records.
