Job summary

APAC-AL, Inc., part of CRH’s South Division, is seeking a skilled Equipment and Machine Operator to safely operate Asphalt Rollers and compactors on heavy highway projects in Alabama. You will help bring asphalt, soils and aggregates to compaction specifications while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Requirements include prior experience operating an Asphalt Roller on road construction projects, safe operation, knowledge of asphalt and aggregate characteristics, reading grades, and the ability

• Experience operating an Asphalt Roller on road construction projects preferred.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of asphalt and aggregate characteristics.
• Knowledge of rolling patterns and vibrating frequencies.
• Must read grades and use a tape measure.
• Capable of lifting 30 pounds and passing a physical exam.
• Maintain reliable attendance and a positive attitude.

Requirements

• Experience in the operation ofan AsphaltRoller on road construction projects preferred.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of asphalt and aggregate characteristics

• Familiarity with vibrating frequencies in comparison to maximum depth.
• Must be able to follow grades.
