Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience operating an Asphalt Roller on road construction projects.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of asphalt and aggregate characteristics.
• Knowledge of rolling patterns.
• Familiarity with vibrating frequencies in comparison to maximum depth.
• Must be able to follow grades.
• Must be able to repetitively lift 30 pounds, walk, stoop, squat, sit, kneel.
• Capable of passing required physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt roller to compact asphalt, soils and aggregate according to project specs.
• Maintain safe operation and adherence to grade and compaction requirements.

This position involves the safe and efficient operation of Asphalt Rollers and compactors to bring asphalt, soils and aggregate within compaction specifications on heavy highway projects.

Requirements

• Experience in the operation of an Asphalt Roller on road construction projects preferred.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of asphalt and aggregate characteristics
• Knowledge of rolling patterns.
• Familiarity with vibrating frequencies in comparison to maximum depth.
• Must be able to follow grades.
