Job summary

CRH is seeking an Asphalt Roller Operator for Alabama highway projects. The role involves safe, efficient operation of asphalt rollers and compactors to meet compaction specs for roads, soils, and aggregates. Candidates should understand grading, read tape measures, and maintain reliable attendance on site.

Experience with asphalt/aggregate characteristics and rolling patterns is preferred. Physical ability to lift 30 pounds and pass the required health examination is required for on-site work

Qualifications

• Experience in operating Asphalt Rollers on road construction projects preferred.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of asphalt and aggregate characteristics.
• Knowledge of rolling patterns.
• Familiarity with vibrating frequencies vs. maximum depth.
• Must be able to follow grades.
• Must be able to repetitively lift 30 pounds and perform mobility tasks.
• Capable of passing required physical examination.
• Knowledge of equipment and their uses.
• Understand and apply basic mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of reading tape measures.
• Maintain reliable attendance and a positive attitude.

Requirements

• Experience in the operation of an Asphalt Roller on road construction projects preferred.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.

• Must be able to follow grades.
