Job summary

HK Contractors seeks an experienced Asphalt Operations Manager in Idaho Falls to lead asphalt plant operations and paving crews. You will drive production schedules, monitor quality, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while optimizing costs.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of asphalt production and DOT/industry standards, plus the ability to coordinate maintenance and logistics across projects. This is a full-time on-site position with CRH backing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
• 5+ years in asphalt plant operations, paving, or construction.
• 2+ years in leadership or supervisory roles.
• Familiarity with MSHA/OSHA and environmental compliance; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily asphalt plant and paving crews to meet production plans.
• Ensure DOT specifications, quality control, and product integrity.
• Manage budgets, labor, materials, and equipment costs.
• Track KPIs and drive cost-saving improvements and efficiency.
• Coach and develop operators and supervisors; conduct performance reviews.
