Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, seeks a Paving Foreperson to oversee asphalt paving crews and ensure safety, scheduling, and quality control. The role reports to the Paving Superintendent and may involve light additional labor tasks and equipment operation as needed.

The ideal candidate brings 5–10 years in asphalt paving, strong supervision skills, and a thorough understanding of plans, specifications, and DOT/OSHA/CDL regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred and 5-10 years of related asphalt paving experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Thorough knowledge and previous experience of the asphalt paving industry and its means and methods.
• Demonstrated the ability to supervise and lead crew members.

Responsibilities

• Be the site safety champion: ensure the safety of all crew members and the public who may interact with the job.
• Coordinates and plans daily work activities, sets production targets, job site organization, reading of plans and work orders, interpretation of specifications, overall quality of finished the product.
• Communicates with customers, inspectors, coworkers, and the public in a positive and friendly manner.
• Supervises and schedules work crews.
• Coordinates quality control testing as required.
• Organizes job site goals, timelines, and budgets.
