Job summary

HK Contractors, a CRH company, seeks a Civil Construction Quality Control Manager in Idaho Falls to lead QA/QC for asphalt and aggregate operations. You will drive safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across QC programs.

Ideal candidates will have WAQTC/AASHTO certifications, 5+ years of testing experience, and 3+ years in supervision. You will coordinate with lab and field teams and manage budgets and training programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• WAQTC and AASHTO qualification certificates in all areas of the field.
• Five (5) years’ experience in testing (WAQTC and AASHTO).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a staff of 5+ employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing QC team aligned with the company’s core values.
• Champion a culture of safety across all QC operations.
• Maintain QC/QA processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee QC activities for HMA and aggregate production per specs.
• Promote KPIs and cost control measures across operations.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders on testing deadlines.
• Review and approve regional mix designs for cost, feasibility, quality.
• Guide paving teams on process adjustments to meet specs.
• Manage performance, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain QC/QA certifications and MSHA/OSHA compliance.
• Ensure calibration of laboratory equipment and reference materials.
