Job summary

HK Contractors, a CRH Company, is seeking a Manager of Asphalt Operations to lead asphalt plant operations and paving crews across the region. You will drive safety, quality control, production scheduling, and budget management to deliver projects on time and within spec.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in asphalt operations, with leadership experience, knowledge of mix designs and DOT standards, and a valid driver’s license. Strong safety and environmental compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in asphalt plant operations, paving, or construction materials.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of asphalt production, mix designs, and paving practices.
• Familiarity with MSHA/OSHA and environmental compliance.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Champion a safety-first culture and enforce safety policies and regulations.
• Oversee daily asphalt plant and paving crew operations; plan and schedule production.
• Monitor plant performance, equipment utilization, and efficiency; coordinate maintenance.
• Ensure DOT specifications and material quality; address issues with QC teams.
• Manage budgets and track KPIs; support bidding and forecasting.
• Lead and develop plant operators and paving crews; conduct performance reviews.
