Barriere Construction, a CRH Company, seeks an Asphalt Plant Operator for our North Shore Asphalt team in Franklinton, LA. The role emphasizes plant operations, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance in an outdoor industrial setting.

You will coordinate truck dispatch, read meters, and assist with daily scheduling and QC collaboration to ensure asphalt meets project specs. Previous road/construction exposure is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication with stakeholders under high stress situations.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and handle high stress situations.
• 1 year minimum experience in road or construction field outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate dispatching of trucks in the yard.
• Communicate via computer, phone, fax, handheld devices, and CB radios.
• Read meters and gauges and verify operating conditions.
• Maintain daily plant schedule based on mix needs, capacity, and tonnage.
• Collaborate with quality control technicians to ensure asphalt meets specs.
