Job summary

Hri,-Inc. in Montoursville, PA is seeking a Safety-sensitive Screed Operator to safely operate the screed and coordinate with the Paver Operator and dumpman to maintain a consistent paving speed and material head at specified depth, width and slope.

The position involves working with direct and indirect supervision, performing pre-shift checks, and operating in live traffic. Overtime including nights, Saturdays, and occasional Sundays is expected; comprehensive safety training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Must have basic math skills to calculate yield and measurements.
• PennDOT Flagger Training Course is required (training).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate screed to maintain specified depth, width and slope.
• Coordinate with Paver Operator and dumpman for consistent paving speed and material flow.
• Inspect screed components and report deficiencies.
• Perform pre-shift checks and end-of-shift maintenance.
• Set up and monitor traffic control devices as needed.
• Work overtime including night shifts, Saturdays and Sundays.
