Job summary

Amrize is hiring a General Laborer to support operations at the Kirby Road Asphalt plant in Clinton, MD. The role involves general labor, housekeeping, material handling, and assisting with heavy equipment.

You will help with asphalt production, load and unload materials, and keep work areas clean and safe. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and commit to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in industrial or construction environments preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Strong commitment to safety and following procedures.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to learn plant equipment operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties, including manual material handling and shoveling rock.
• Assist with daily operation and maintenance of the asphalt production plant.
• Load, unload, and move raw materials, tools, and supplies.
• Keep plant, yard, and work areas clean and free of debris.
• Perform general housekeeping around equipment.
• Assist with basic maintenance and minor repairs on plant equipment.
• Monitor material stockpiles and maintain inventory levels.
• Support plant operators during asphalt production and material loading.
• Inspect equipment and work areas for safety hazards and report issues.
• Operate hand tools and small equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and perform physically demanding tasks (up to 50 lbs).
• Complete other general labor and plant support duties as assigned.
