Job summary

APAC Alabama, Inc., a CRH company, seeks an Asphalt Distributor Operator for road construction projects in Alabama. The role requires a valid CDL with tanker endorsement, the ability to operate and maintain the distributor truck, and a commitment to safety and DOT compliance.

Responsibilities include setting spray bars, performing routine maintenance, and supporting related tasks on site. DOT physical/drug screen must be passed. Training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a current CDL license preferrably with Tanker endorsement.
• Ability to learn how to operate an Asphalt Distributor Truck.
• Must pass DOT physical/drug screen

Responsibilities

• Operate the Asphalt Distributor on Road Construction projects.
• Set spray bar on manual, automatic, or semi-automatic distributors for applying liquid asphalt.
• May oil, grease, service and perform minor adjustments to equipment.
• Maintain the equipment and perform minor servicing; refer major problems to supervisor.
• Perform other related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, or adjusting screed extensions.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Must have a current CDL license preferrably with Tanker endorsement and the ability to learn how to operate an Asphalt Distributor Truck
• Set spray bar on manual, automatic, or semi-automatic distributors for applying liquid asphalt.
• May oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
• The operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• May perform other related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, adding or removing screed extensions.
• Must pass DOT physical/drug screen
