Job summary

CRH in Alabama is seeking a qualified candidate to operate Asphalt Distributor equipment. The role requires a valid CDL license with tanker endorsement and the ability to set spray bars and manage liquid asphalt applications. Candidates will perform routine maintenance and ensure equipment is in good working order.

Responsibilities include assisting with set-up, light equipment servicing, and related tasks such as line setting and screed adjustments as needed to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must have a current CDL license, preferably with Tanker endorsement, and must learn to operate an Asphalt Distributor truck.

Responsibilities

• Set the spray bar on manual, automatic, or semi‑automatic distributors to apply liquid asphalt.
• Oil, grease, service, and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
• Ensure equipment is in efficient working condition; perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Perform related duties such as shovel work, setting string lines, and adding or removing screed extensions as needed.
