Job summary

APAC Alabama, Inc., part of CRH’s South Central Division, is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to repair and maintain road construction equipment and machinery across Alabama. You will diagnose defects, dismantle parts, and reassemble systems to ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role involves inspecting and servicing trucks, paving machines, batch plants, and related equipment, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

This is a skilled position involvingmaking repairs toand maintaining road construction equipment and mechanical equipment such as trucks, trailers, batch plants, paving machines, bulldozers, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, asphalt paving and other equipment by performing the following duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects.

Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists and handtools.
