License Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate an Asphalt Distributor Truck and set spray bar on manual, automatic, or semi‑automatic distributors for applying liquid asphalt.
• Oil, grease, and service equipment; perform normal operating adjustments.
• Maintain the efficient working condition of equipment by performing minor servicing and maintenance, or refer major problems to supervision.
• Perform related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, adding or removing screed extensions.
• Assist with other project tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Current CDL license, preferably with tanker endorsement.
• Ability to learn operation of an Asphalt Distributor Truck.
• Must pass a DOT physical and mandatory drug screen.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
