Job summary

Propio Language Services in Dayton, Ohio is seeking American Sign Language Onsite Contract Interpreters to facilitate accurate communication in healthcare, education, and community settings. This is an independent contractor role with assignments that may require travel to client sites.

Applicants must be fluent in English and ASL, hold at least one certification (RID, EIPA 3.7+, or BEI), and possess professional interpreting experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Professional proficiency in English and American Sign Language.
• Ability to accurately provide interpretation between English and American Sign Language.
• Must Hold at least ONE American Sign Language Certification (RID, EIPA Score 3.7+, BEI).
• State Specific American Sign Language Interpreting License where applicable.
• One or more years of professional interpreting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and American Sign Language during onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable to an accepted assignment.
• Follow applicable interpreter protocols and client requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy and data-protection requirements.
