Job summary

Propio Language Services in Overland Park, KS is seeking American Sign Language onsite contract interpreters to support clients across healthcare, education, government and community settings. You will provide accurate consecutive interpretation between English and ASL on accepted onsite assignments and may also offer remote interpretation when applicable.

Requirements include fluency in English and ASL, 1+ year of professional interpreting experience, relevant certifications (RID/BEI/EIPA),

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Proficiency in English and American Sign Language.
Ability to interpret between English and American Sign Language.
One or more years of professional interpreting experience.
Experience in medical, legal, community, educational, or social‑services interpreting.
Credentials or certifications in interpreting.
Willing to travel to onsite assignments.
Health and immunization requirements may apply.
Background checks or security screening may be required.

Responsibilities

Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and American Sign Language during onsite assignments.
Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
Follow interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy and data‑protection requirements.
Maintain professional interactions with clients and participants.
Maintain subject‑matter knowledge for assignments.
