Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in English and American Sign Language.
• Able to interpret between English and ASL.
• Must hold at least one ASL certification (RID, EIPA 3.7+, or BEI).
• State license where required.
• Able to travel to onsite assignments.
• One+ years of professional interpreting experience.
• Experience in medical, legal, educational, or social services interpreting.
• Background check and privacy requirements may apply.

Aufgaben

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation onsite.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and client requirements.
• Maintain professional interactions with clients, patients, customers, and other participants.
• Maintain language proficiency and subject-matter knowledge necessary to perform assignments accurately.
