Job summary

BlazerJobs, Inc. is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support a middle school student in an on-site educational setting. This contract role is full-time and begins as soon as possible through late May, with daily 1:1 interpretation to ensure access to instruction and activities.

Candidates with ASL license and Spanish skills are encouraged; prior school-based experience is a strong asset. You will collaborate with teachers and staff to support classroom communication and student

Qualifications

• Current State Interpreter License for ASL.
• Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in schools or with children/adolescents.
• Bilingual ASL/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to work onsite full-time in a classroom setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 interpreting services for a middle school student throughout the school day.
• Facilitate clear communication between student, teachers, peers, and staff in various classroom settings.
• Adapt to curriculum changes and school events as needed.
• Support the student’s understanding and participation in academic and social activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards for interpreters in educational settings.
