Job summary

Soliant Health in New Oxford, PA is seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter for a 1:1 role supporting a 5th-grade Life Skills student. This onsite contract offers daily schedule 7:20 am–2:10 pm, 35 hours per week, from August 19, 2026, through June 2, 2027, with meaningful impact in a collaborative school environment.

The ideal candidate holds an EIPA score 3.5+ and has ASL proficiency, experience in K-12, and a commitment to confidentiality and accurate interpretation to support learning

Qualifications

• Valid EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (required)
• Experience working within K-12 educational settings preferred
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and skilled at interpreting in academic settings
• Ability to support students with diverse learning needs
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive connections with students and educational staff
• Commitment to providing clear, accurate, and confidential interpretation services

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 sign language interpretation for a 5th-grade student in a Life Skills classroom
• Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and peers
• Collaborate with education professionals to support classroom learning and participation
• Ensure adherence to school policies and confidentiality standards
• Adapt interpretation techniques for individual student needs and classroom activities
