Job summary

Princeton Staffing Solutions is seeking an Educational Interpreter (ASL) to support a public school district in Eastpoint, FL. The position is in-person, 25 hours per week, ASAP through 5/27/27, supporting a middle school student with 1:1 sign language interpretation.

Minimum requirements include fluency in American Sign Language and current school-based experience. A High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred, with EIPA 4.0 or NIC certification as

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• EIPA 4.0 minimum score with passing EIPA written test or NIC certification with passing EIPA written test.
• Additional state-specific requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate fluency in American Sign Language to interpret and communicate effectively with the student and staff.
• Interpret sign language for deaf students and voice for the student when needed.
• Facilitate communication and educational access for deaf and hard of hearing student(s).
• Perform non-instructional signing activities; convert voice to sign language and vice versa.
• Provide specially designed instruction as needed.
• Execute accurate, timely, impartial, and effective signing with strong receptive skills.
• Apply principles and techniques of interpreting for deaf and hard of hearing individuals.
• Utilize educational interpreting vocabulary and concepts in a school setting.
