Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in San Diego, CA seeks an ASIC Engineer to define, model, design (digital and/or analog), optimize, verify, validate, implement, and document IP (block/SoC) development for high-performance, low-power products.

You will collaborate with software and hardware teams to determine the execution path, evaluate design flows, and contribute to architecture and verification methods. This role requires strong communication and independent work, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years ASIC experience.
Master's degree with 1+ year ASIC experience.
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

Defines, models, designs (digital and/or analog), optimizes, verifies, validates, implements, and documents IP (block/SoC) development for high performance, low power products.
Creates architectures, circuit specifications, logic designs, and/or system simulations based on system-level requirements.
Collaborates across teams (e.g., software/hardware) to meet system requirements and customer needs.
Evaluates process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, timing and power use, and verification for custom circuit design/layout flow.
Writes detailed technical documentation for EDA/IP/ASIC projects.
