Job summary

Budget Truck Rental, LLC is seeking an experienced automotive/truck technician to perform complex repairs on a fleet of newer cargo vans and box trucks. You will diagnose engines, transmissions, and electrical systems, ensuring reliability and uptime for customers.

The role emphasizes mentorship, hands-on repair, and on-site work with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and warranty work. ASE credentials are required, with ongoing certification supported.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional automotive or truck repair experience.
• Current ASE certifications (minimum 3) with ability to obtain 2 additional ASE within first year.
• Strong knowledge across ASE areas including Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Light Vehicle/Diesel.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex mechanical repairs, including warranty work, on a fleet of newer cargo vans and box trucks.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, exhaust, brakes, electrical, and onboard computer systems.
• Act as a technical expert and mentor to other technicians; support diagnostics and repair strategies.
• Drive Budget Trucks on public roads for testing or repair verification when needed.
