Job summary

The Flat Rate Technician at VIP, Inc. will diagnose and repair automotive systems, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure work is completed right the first time. You will follow VIP processes, maintain safety standards, and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include reading service orders, obtaining parts from the desk team, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment while meeting productivity targets and ASE certification goals.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in automotive service field.
• Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide automotive systems diagnosis, repair, and maintenance services for customers, including ASE-covered systems.
• Follows VIP safety policies and completes safety-related training.
• Ensures a valid Service Work Order is initiated prior to service.
• Completes MPI prior to initiating service and supports the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement Process.
• Obtains needed parts from the Desk Team and returns unused parts after service.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area and adheres to safety protocols.
• Road tests vehicles after service to ensure safe operation.
