Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking a Flat Rate Technician to diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components. You will follow VIP processes, maintain safety, and ensure quality work that is done right the first time.

Responsibilities include performing repairs, ordering parts through the desk, maintaining shop cleanliness, and meeting productivity targets. A valid driver's license and ASE certifications are preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions and regulations.
• Explain vehicle information clearly to customers.
• Diagnose and recommend fixes for basic automotive problems.
• Interpret instructions from written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.
• Ability to perform the types of automotive services listed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety is prioritized and training completed.
• Provide diagnosis, repair, and maintenance for automotive systems.
• Initiate and display a valid Service Work Order during service.
• Complete MPI and support the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process.
• Order parts from the desk and return unused parts.
• Maintain a 16-week productivity target for technicians.
