Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking a Flat Rate Technician to diagnose and repair automotive systems while delivering a high standard of customer service. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to VIP processes to ensure quality work and first-time-right service.

You will manage service orders, source parts through the desk team, and maintain a clean, safe shop environment while pursuing required training and ASE certifications.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, manuals, and procedures.
• Explain vehicle information clearly to customers and coworkers.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions for basic automotive problems.
• Interpret and apply written or verbal instructions for service tasks.
• Able to perform automotive services listed in the ASE categories.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety is priority and follow all safety policies.
• Provide diagnosis, repair, and maintenance for automotive systems.
• Initiate and display a valid Service Work Order during service.
• Take and return parts from the Desk Team and manage core returns.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and safety, and participate in team meetings.
