Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an ASE Technician to perform diagnostic and repair work across engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical systems in a busy shop. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer service in line with VIP procedures.

The Technician will complete Service Work Orders, pursue ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5, etc.), and maintain productive rates while supporting a high-quality customer experience. This is a non-exempt hourly position with standard weekly hours.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations
• Effectively explain vehicle information to customers, present and respond to questions
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems
• Interpret, understand, and apply instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Ability to successfully perform required types of automotive services listed above

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform automotive repair and maintenance tasks per ASE certifications
• Ensure safety policies are followed and work orders are properly initiated and completed
• Maintain shop cleanliness and organization, return unused parts to desk team
