Job summary

Montana State University Billings invites applications for the Academic Support Center (ASC) Assistant Director. The role leads the Writing Center Tutoring staff across campus locations and collaborates with the Retention Director and Associate Director of Tutoring to guide daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, Student Affairs, Humanities, English, or related field with at least 3 years of professional experience.
• Master’s degree in Writing discipline, Student Affairs, or Humanities with at least 5 years of professional experience (preferred).
• Experience tutoring/academic support, and supervising tutors or staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Writing Center Tutoring staff (approx. 10 employees) at multiple locations.
• Lead ASC Leadership Team and work with Retention/Associate Directors to manage daily operations.
• Communicate departmental mission to diverse constituencies and implement service enhancements.
