Job summary

Eurofins USA Environment Testing is seeking an Analyst to analyze bulk samples for asbestos using polarized light microscopy, and assist with fungal analyses where possible. The role includes validating data, uploading results to the LIMS, and reporting to clients.

The candidate will schedule workload to meet due dates, maintain QA documentation, and support accreditation activities. Position is full-time, Monday–Friday, in Fort Lauderdale, FL, with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Geology or a closely related science.
• 1–2 years of laboratory work experience involving mold and/or asbestos microscopy analysis.
• 8 units of Microbiology courses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze aerobiological, environmental, and water samples for fungal, asbestos and bacteria analysis.
• Enter and report analytical data using the LIMS.
• Perform independent data reviews for other analysts’ work.
• Perform QC samples and reference material analyses as needed.
• Coordinate and manage projects based on rush status and due times.
