Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) in Tustin, CA is seeking an Asbestos Analyst to perform PLM analysis of bulk samples and to prepare data for client reports, following QA programs and SOPs.

The ideal candidate has 0–1+ years of PLM asbestos microscopy, a BSc in a related science, US work authorization, and strong English skills. Work hours are Tue–Fri 6:00am–2:30pm and Sat 8:00am–4:30pm, with potential for overtime; compensation ranges from $22 to $28 per hour, plus full benefits.

Qualifications

• 0-1+ years of asbestos microscopy using PLM.
• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, geology or a closely related science
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Ability to travel for training

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze aerobiological and environmental samples for asbestos.
• Accurately enters and reports analytical data using the LIMS
• Performs independent data reviews for other analysts’ work
• Performs analysis of reference materials and QA samples as needed
• Maintains client service and provides technical support as needed
• Assists QA manager in QA processes and data collection
• Performs and completes QA-related tasks as needed
