Job summary

Eurofins Built Environment Testing in Tustin, CA is seeking an Asbestos Analyst to perform analysis of bulk samples using PLM for asbestos and to prepare reports for clients in alignment with QA/QC programs. The role requires knowledge of laboratory equipment, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to manage sample workloads and due dates.

The ideal candidate will have 0-1+ years of PLM asbestos experience, a relevant science degree, excellent English proficiency, and a willingness to travel

Qualifications

• 0-1+ years of experience performing asbestos microscopy using Polarizing Light Microscope (PLM).
• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, geology or a closely related science.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing and speaking; travel for training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze aerobiological and environmental samples for asbestos.
• Enter and report analytical data using the LIMS.
• Perform independent data reviews for other analysts’ work.
• Assist in pursuing and maintaining laboratory accreditations.
• Coordinate and manage projects to meet due dates.
