Job summary

Eurofins Built Environment Testing is seeking an Asbestos Analyst in Tustin, CA to perform PLM-based asbestos analysis on bulk samples. The analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples, enters data into the LIMS, and reviews results for accuracy, supporting QA programs and client reporting.

The ideal candidate has 0-1+ years of PLM experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a related science, and the ability to travel for training.

Qualifications

• 0-1+ years of experience performing asbestos microscopy using Polarizing Light Microscope (PLM).
• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, geology or a closely related science.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to travel for training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze aerobiological and environmental samples for asbestos.
• Enter and report analytical data using the LIMS.
• Perform data reviews for other analysts’ work.
• Maintain QA processes and assist in accreditation activities.
• Coordinate workload and ensure timely delivery of results.
