Job summary

Eurofins USA Environment Testing in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Mold/Asbestos Analyst to perform bulk sample analysis using PLM for asbestos and fungi analyses. The role involves preparing samples, entering data in the LIMS, and reviewing data for accuracy to generate client reports.

You will support QA processes and assist in maintaining accreditations while adhering to SOPs and QA programs. The ideal candidate has 1+ year experience with asbestos PLM or mold analysis and a biology or geology degree,

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience performing asbestos PLM (Polarized Light Microscopes) and/or mold analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, geology or a closely related science REQUIRED.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including reading, writing and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze aerobiological and environmental samples for asbestos and fungi.
• Enter and report analytical data using the LIMS.
• Perform independent data reviews for other analysts’ work.
• Perform analysis of reference materials, proficiency samples and QA samples as needed.
• Maintain client service and provide technical support as needed.
• Assist QA in development and data collection of QA processes.
