Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Project Manager with AS/400 Applications to lead complex delivery, modernization, and enhancement initiatives for Property & Casualty insurance operations. You will collaborate with developers, QA, BAs, architecture, and insurance stakeholders to deliver reliable enterprise solutions.

Hybrid work is offered; three days per week in a Cognizant or client office in Hartford, CT. Remote arrangements may be considered based on business and client needs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of technology experience managing complex enterprise projects or large-scale portfolios.
• Strong PM experience covering planning, financial mgmt, resource coordination, risk mgmt, stakeholder communication, QA, and release delivery.
• Working knowledge of the AS/400 application ecosystem including SQLRPGLE, RPGLE, Db2 for i, CLP, RPG, and AS/400 utilities.
• Experience leading legacy application enhancement, transformation, or modernization initiatives in an enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance processes including policy administration, claims, or billing.
• Experience applying predictive, Agile, or hybrid delivery methodologies to complex technology programs.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of AS/400 application projects with scope, schedules, budgets, and milestones.
• Oversee development, enhancement, and modernization initiatives using AS/400 tech.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions.
