Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Project Manager with AS/400 Applications to drive complex delivery, modernization, and integration for Property and Casualty Insurance. You will coordinate with developers, QA, BAs, architecture, and stakeholders to deliver reliable enterprise solutions.

You will manage end-to-end planning, scope, budgets, schedules, risks, and releases while aligning with enterprise architecture and security requirements.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of technology experience with enterprise application projects.
• Strong PM experience across planning, budgeting, resources, risks, and releases.
• Working knowledge of AS/400 and related technologies (SQLRPGLE, RPGLE, Db2 for i, CLP).
• Experience in legacy modernization or transformation within enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance processes (policy, claims, billing).
• Experience with predictive, Agile, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate across distributed teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of AS/400 projects with defined scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee development, enhancement, and modernization initiatives for AS/400 modules.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage risks, issues, and decisions.
• Translate insurance requirements into user stories and technical specs.
• Manage quality, change, release, and deployment activities with acceptance criteria.
• Provide clear project reporting on progress, finances, risks, and dependencies.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, security, and audit requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and process improvements.
