Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a seasoned Project Manager for AS/400 applications to lead complex delivery, modernization, and portfolio initiatives for Property and Casualty Insurance operations.

You will collaborate with developers, QA, BAs, architecture, and insurance stakeholders to deliver reliable enterprise solutions, ensuring quality and timely releases while complying with security and audit requirements.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of technology experience managing complex enterprise applications.
• Strong PM skills in planning, budgeting, and release delivery.
• AS/400 ecosystem knowledge: SQLRPGLE, RPGLE, Db2 for i, CLP, RPG.
• Experience leading legacy transformation initiatives in an enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance processes.
• Experience applying predictive, Agile, or hybrid delivery methods.
• Strong stakeholder management and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of AS/400 projects.
• Oversee development, enhancement, and modernization initiatives.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage risks, issues, dependencies, decisions.
• Translate policy administration, claims, and billing requirements into user stories and specifications.
• Manage quality, change, release, and deployment activities.
• Provide clear project reporting to stakeholders on progress, finances, risks.
• Ensure compliance with architecture, security, data protection, and audits.
• Apply lessons learned to improve AS/400 delivery processes.
