Qualifications

• Proficient cake and pastry decorating with piping techniques and ability to craft flowers/borders.
• Understanding of color theory for buttercream blending and palette coordination.
• Ability to follow recipes and adjust as needed with strong time management.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for a high-volume bakery.
• Strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment with urgency.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes, tarts, and special-order bakery items.
• Build and decorate cakes per standard procedures; maintain production records.
• Prioritize production lists and adjust as needed to meet demand.
• Display products attractively and ensure freshness and rotation in display cases.
• Guide Bakery Decorator Apprentices and other team members.
• Create custom order cake designs based on customer preferences.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist with inquiries promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area and comply with safety standards.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties, including signage and pricing accuracy.
