Job summary

You will follow standard procedures, support team members, and ensure high quality, consistency, and safety in a fast-paced bakery environment. The role emphasizes precise decorating, color coordination, and efficient production. A 6–12 month related experience or apprentice training is preferred, with opportunities to advance within the bakery

Qualifications

• 6–12 months retail or restaurant experience.
• Bakery Decorator Apprentice training program, or equivalent.
• Prior experience in professional bakery or grocery retail preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items.
• Build, ice, and decorate cakes and other items following standard procedures; complete production and spoilage records.
• Prioritize production lists and adjust as needed.
• Merchandise products in the display case and ensure freshness and proper rotation.
• Provide guidance and support for apprentices and other team members.
• Create special order cake designs based on customer preferences.
• Deliver excellent customer service and assist with phones and pages promptly.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work and shopping areas; follow safety standards.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; manage signage and pricing.
