Qualifications

• Efficient cake and pastry decorating with intermediate piping techniques.
• Understand color theory for buttercream color blending.
• Proficiency with various icings and decorative methods.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain timelines.
• Strong math skills for recipe conversions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes, tarts, and pastry items.
• Build and decorate cakes following standard procedures and maintain records.
• Prioritize production lists and adjust as needed.
• Merchandise products in the display case while ensuring freshness.
• Provide guidance to Bakery Decorator Apprentices and team members.
• Create custom order cake designs.
• Deliver excellent customer service and assist with phones.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
