Job summary

Bern's Steak House in Tampa, FL is seeking a Pastry Cook to manage the pastry and bakery section, working closely with the Pastry Management Team to create high-quality desserts and maintain standard recipes and presentation. You will handle production, par stocks, rotate inventory, and ensure cleanliness and safety.

The role requires a positive attitude, teamwork, and flexibility to work weekends, days, nights, and holidays in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1 year of pastry, food and beverage, or related experience.
• Must work well with others and be a team player.
• Adheres to food hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate pastry and bakery section day-to-day.
• Prepare a wide variety of goods following Bern's recipes.
• Ensure quality across dessert offerings.
• Maintain proper handling and temperatures of all products.
• Decorate pastries and ensure presentation is appealing.
• Report equipment issues and maintain cleanliness.
