Job summary

UC San Diego is seeking a Program Coordinator to support a federally sponsored ARPA-H research initiative. The role involves collecting, organizing, and synthesizing program information to aid planning, reporting, and compliance activities.

The incumbent will analyze project data, monitor milestones, and prepare reports and briefing materials for the Principal Investigator and stakeholders, coordinating meetings and maintaining project records with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience; engineering/training background preferred.
• Ability to analyze, research, and synthesize large data with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret and implement policies and communicate information effectively.
• Compiles data to prepare regular and ad hoc reports on funds, expenditures, and encumbrances.
• Develops clear, concise reports and recommendations for Principal Investigators and stakeholders.
• Proficient with common office and research software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Discretion and confidentiality in handling information.
• Good judgment in addressing issues; capable of multi-tasking under deadlines.
• Familiarity with policy analysis techniques.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project meetings, document action items and technical progress.
• Maintain project records and track budgets and project metrics.
• Support sponsor reporting requirements and assist with presentations and program materials.
• Analyze project data, monitor milestones, identify gaps or issues for follow-up.
• Prepare reports, summaries, and briefing materials for the Principal Investigator and stakeholders.
• Apply professional judgment and established policies to support program administration.
