Job summary

University of California San Francisco is seeking a Project and Policy Analyst for a 12-month assignment. The role supports policy and program planning, development, administration, management and implementation, with emphasis on analytical studies across multiple programs.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
  • Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates ability to use sound judgement in responding to issues and concerns.
  • Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area and one year of experience and/or equivalent experience/training.

Job Description

The anticipated duration of this assignment is 12 months. The Project and Policy Analyst will perform analytical studies on a variety of policies, projects, programs and issues in support of a function, research initiative, program and/or organizational unit, or research of new or changing systems and programs. They will assist in policy and program planning, development, administration, management and implementation; interpret, monitor and analyze information regarding policies and procedures and provide consultative services to department administrators and other stakeholders. They will support the Program Director and help develop procedures to ensure effective operation of the Program. The analyst will oversee various aspects of training grant administration, including admissions, course scheduling, student and faculty support, student capstone projects, financial management, and communication.

Location and Work Schedule
  • Location: Flexible (combination of onsite and remote work).
  • Shift: Days. Shift Length: 8 Hours. M-F, 8am-5pm; two days onsite required.
