Job summary

Qualifications

  • Compiles data to prepare regular and ad hoc reports on funds, expenditures, and encumbrances.
  • Develops clear, concise reports and recommendations for Principal Investigators and stakeholders.
  • Proficient with common office and research software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling information.
  • Good judgment in addressing issues; capable of multi-tasking under deadlines.
  • Familiarity with policy analysis techniques.

DESCRIPTION

Applies professional concepts to conduct analytical studies and projects of moderate scope and complexity in support of a federally sponsored research program. Under general supervision, the Program Coordinator provides analytical and administrative support for a complex, multi-year ARPA-H research initiative by collecting, organizing, and synthesizing program information to support project planning, reporting, and compliance activities.

The incumbent analyzes project data, monitors milestones and deliverables, identifies gaps or issues requiring follow-up, and prepares reports, summaries, and briefing materials for the Principal Investigator and project stakeholders. Responsibilities include coordinating project meetings, documenting action items and technical progress, maintaining project records, tracking budgets and project metrics, supporting sponsor reporting requirements, and assisting with the development of presentations and other program materials.

The incumbent applies professional judgment, established policies, and analytical techniques to support effective program administration, facilitate communication among internal and external collaborators, and contribute to the successful execution of project objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience in engineering / training. Prior experience managing engineering teams is preferred.

  • Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail. Skill in independently researching, compiling, organizing, interpreting and selecting data and materials from various sources.

  • Ability to accurately interpret and implement policies and procedures and effectively communicate and disseminate information.

  • Compiles data to prepare regular and ad hoc reports that present information such as the status of funds, expenditures, and encumbrances.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop clear, concise, and accurate reports andrecommendations for Principal Investigators and other stakeholders.

  • Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.

  • Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.

  • Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.

  • Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.

  • Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques.
